Common questions

What is Mirasand made of?

High-grade silica sand, 99.75% silicon dioxide, washed clean of organic matter and magnetically separated. No chemicals, no additives.

How does it work?

The pale grains reflect sunlight back up into the leaves that sit in shadow. In everyday conditions, plants grow about 30% faster.

Is it safe for my plants and pets?

Yes for plants. It's 100% safe for every plant, including the fruits, vegetables, and herbs you eat. Mirasand is silicon dioxide, which isn't toxic to animals, but it can be a choking hazard, so keep pets from eating it.

When will my order ship?

Orders ship from Ottawa within one to two business days. You'll get an email with tracking as soon as yours goes out.

Do you ship to the United States?

Yes. We ship across Canada and the United States, and every order comes with tracking.

How do I change or cancel my order?

Email info@mirasand.ca with your order number and what you'd like to change. For returns, see our refund policy, which covers purchases made on this site.
